Gym fear

Well. Today is the day. It's been a few weeks, perhaps even a month since I last darkened the door of Devizes' finest exercise establishment (or this blog)- having been (a) lazy, (b) busy sorting out the bathroom, (c) having migraines. I suspect that it might be rather a trial, but in order not to end up being a bargain for soap manufacturers (if they wanted to turn me into soap), I'd better get to it. Also, need to make sure I'm toned for sunbathing on the beach, although if I didn't bother, the beach would be much quieter! Perhaps that should've been the tactic at sunny rose-scented Mottisfont last sunday with the outlaws. Glad to see that it was busy (we reckoned around 2000 people provided a backdrop for our outdoor eating activity (...it'll rain if...) and kept the ice-cream sellers sweating...
I didn't spot many grannies sunbathing though...

Cats and Cricket

Belated congrats to England on winning the 2nd Test against the Kiwis. Only one problem with naming your cat after a cricketer...when the cricketer starts doing well, and you cheer them on as they take 6 wickets for 37, the cat gets rather confused. I'll try to remember not to shout 'Go Monty, Go!' too often!

How do you become a domino expert?

Isn't the Guinness advert where dominoes run wild in the village and eventually produce a Guinness pint in dominoes rather amazing? Reputedly one of the most expensive ads ever made, apparently it took a week to film. How do you become such a domino expert? And what did such experts do before this ad? Will there be several domino experts now out of work?

I'd love to meet a domino expert, but how could you find one? There must be a domino champion of the world - not at playing dominoes, but at making them tip over...and surely world records...Well, thanks to Googling - wow...I never knew.

Snoozing after dinner, stroking pussy cats

Surely one of life's highlights has to be curling up on the sofa in front of the TV after a lovely meal. Especially when Monty the cat pays a visit. And wants his tummy rubbed. Or takes Mrs B's nice warm seat. But not when he starts doing the usual cat thing of licking the unmentionables. Or attacking the camera strap. Or snoozing beside you. No picture of the two of us snoozing next to each other. Haven't worked out how to do that yet.

Here today, gone tomorrow...

Well, Mr B has finally started online. Mixed musings, otherwise known as summer pudding (mixed berries)! Let's see how the technical bits of this work!
